Vintage Stratton Powder Compact
Scarce Muffin Shape, Similar to a scone but larger.
Made 1948-53
Goldtone case with spiral base.
The lid is very nicely decoarted with a Victorian Lady stood out on a terrace. 
Polished & matt gold with red outline.
Inner lid with slide clasp that I am unsure if it should be an open hand lid as there is a small brass piece under the hinge but does not puch inwards.

Condition is fair. There is  a little bit of red enamel missing from the band on her dress & the red curved line look sto of been touched up.  Some wear/tarnishing to case with a little lift to the lacquer on the base & inner lid. Clasp opens/closes nicely. Mirror with a few minor blemishes.
