Oval Shape with faceted & grooved sides to the base.
Goldtone Engine  turned lid mounted with a gold leaf encrusted with brown crystals.

Plays I remember well from the musical Gigi preformed by Hermione Gingold & Maurice Chevalier.
 
Comes with original filter & when I opened the powder well hidden inside was a 1d Stamp which I will leave in as its part of the compacts history.

Condition overall is very good. Minimal wear to the exterior with just some light rub and a few tarnishing spots. All clasps woring as they should. Music box plays beautifully and the on/off button functions properly. Mirror clear
